Regardless of what you prefer to call this afternoon meal of tea and snacks, I think it is the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day or a birthday. Here are some tips on how to throw your very own vintage tea party! DRINKS Tea - As you plan your afternoon tea menu, don't forget to select a few teas to pair with your food. SoulFull Hearts

February 7, 2021 by Renée

These soulful hearts came to be because I just felt that sometimes the people in your life need a little pick-me-up. Lilac Syrup Canning Recipe

June 13, 2020 by Renée

I know it is late in the season and the blooms are almost gone, but I was just barely able to get some blooms to make my lilac syrup canning recipe. Simple syrups are so easy and this lilac simple syrup is no exception. It’s also a perfect way to start canning if you haven’t tried it. It is perfect for flavouring so many things such as ice cream, pancakes and your favourite cold drink. This recipe for simple syrup is very basic and you don’t even have to can it.
