All the Easter Things

April 8, 2020 by Renée

I don’t know about you but I am super excited about the four day weekend coming up! With Easter days away, I have been snooping around to see how we could make the holiday a little more special for the kids. We usually head to my in-laws for the weekend but with this Corona virus happening, we obviously can’t do that this year so everyone is a little disappointed. I came across some pretty cute stuff so I thought I might share all the Easter things I came across.

The first thing I was looking for were ways to decorate eggs. Especially since we are getting tons of them from our chickens now that the sun is up longer and the weather is getting warmer. I came across a post entitled “50 PLUS CREATIVE DIY EASTER EGG DECORATING PROJECTS” from The Cottage market.

So many great ideas. The animal ones were the cutest but I think we are going to try the wire bunny ears to use as place card holders at our Easter dinner. Stay tuned on the Instagram account to see how those turned out.

I also came across “DIY Mommy’s Favourite Easter Recipes”  on the Life Made Delicious blog. They had some super easy and cute recipes to make with Pillsbury products. No, this isn’t an endorsement, haha. I just thought we have had enough on our plates the last few weeks so needed something fast and easy.

I really want to make an Easter tree for our table centerpiece this year so thought salt dough eggs would be adorable hanging from some branches. They will also make a great craft to keep the girls busy this weekend. I found the cutest images and tutorial on the BABYCCINO blog for them.

The last thing I wanted to share was an Easter colouring page I made for anyone needing some down time. It is good for everyone to create every day, even if that means just colouring a picture that makes you smile.

You can download the .pdf so you or your munchkins can have a little bit of mindful meditation time.

I hope you all have an amazing long weekend and get to take a little bit of time for yourself.

Happy Easter, stay safe and healthy!
